Tuesday the 2nd the shipping company is supposed to be picking up my 02 V6 Dakota so they can bring it to Georgetown Delaware to have my turbo kit installed, cant wait to get it back and see how much power it has. Whatever it is I know it will be a hell of a lot better than what it is now. Let everyone know how it is when I get it back.

hmm 3.9=SLOW I am sure he could get a 5.9 or 5.2 for less price than what he is paying to Turbocharge this... And have just as mush power...

If he is doing it do be cool and diffrent ok w.e. but he sounds like he want to be fast... thats just not going to happen with any v6 dak.

plus im sure a turbo v6 will eat any r/t that is close to stock cuz ive seen a turbo 3.9 pumpin out 400rwhp.

You know i get so tired of people saying v6 are a waste of money and time...I'm making an official call out! If anyone in the houston Tx area has a v8 street dakota they are interested in "street racing" against my little v6, please email me at [email protected] I would love to show all you v8's what a v6 can do.

I have a v6 guys... Do a comparison... lets see how much $$ this guy is spending on turbo-ing, then $400(for me to swap for any motor/tranny I want) he is spending over a grand easy... Go throw some cheap HP(N2O) on the 5.9... you are still under $1000 for the swap for the 5.9 and a faster truck... Just saying it sounds cool but its cheaper to just swap. Thats why its a waste of money.

that's whats wrong with most people...they wanna do whats easy. This guy is trying to be different and people are hating on him for that. I've had v8's. I use to do alot of racing...all the import guys wouldn't race me because i had V8. I got married sold my mustang. I got the bug again and had this dakota laying around. I started customizing a few things here and there, and this is what i ended up with. I don't keep track of how much money i have in something..i do it because thats what i love to do..if i was spending money on my truck, i would be doing something else. I have alot less in my truck than you think because i'm able to do everything myself except for interior..yep, I'm proud to say that entire truck except for the machine work on the block was completed by me. :rauch08::rauch08:

considering im in alabama, and i get outran by stray cats and field mice, i cant take you up on it, but i must agree. look at all of the v6 cars out there that can run out these days...

tony, i say go with it brother, and i cant wait to see how this thing runs. i used to dream of hopping up my old 225 i had in my van, but my abusive driving sent it away.....

I understand that... But going by his first post he thinks its going to be the fastest thing on earth now... If he is just doing it to be diffrent good for him but if hes doing it to be fast he is just wasting his time... Noone is hating

My boltons include F&B 48mm throttle body, Harland sharp 1.7 rr,Flowmaster 70 series muffler, Dynomax dual split rear exhaust with tips, Brass cap distributor, MSD ignition, Volant air intake, Taylor spiro-pro plug wires, E3 plugs, hypertech 180 stat.

My truck is a daily driver, I use it to haul tools and material when im working. When I first got I realized what little power it had and decided to bolt on to try and make more power. This past summer my son and I went to a weekend paintball game in PA and everytime the truck had to climb a hill I had to mash the pedal to the floor to keep up speed, that was when i decided to Turbo. I happen to like my V6 it just needs a little more power. 90% of guys with V6s, pull them out and put 5.2 or 5.9s in, why be like everyone else? I dont mind paying the money to have what I want, thats the differance between me and the guy who wants the rush job or who is pinching pennies!
