I have the 3.9 and the truck went out to Performance Injection Equipment (PIE). I had about a weeks worth of hold-up on the shipping, Chris the owner had a vacation scheduled so in actuality the truck will be worked on this week. He says it normally takes 5 to 7 days to complete.

i look at it this way, its his truck, his money. If he wants to turbo his truck, more power to him. I mean why do people always hate on someone when they want to modify their truck in a way that someone else doesnt agree with?? the same goes bagging our trucks. most would ask why do we spend countless hours and dollars to do this, why would you ruin a truck?? its ours, thats why. its the love, the passion we have for the sport. Its taking something and making it our own. Thats supposed to be the bond that makes us like a family. So next time someone wants to do something to their truck that you dont agree with, dont knock it, support them and guide them to make it that much better.

I agree, not everyone has the money to build a 408, or a 360 swap, or turbo, or supercharge, but we do what we can to make our trucks OURS no one elses. I do it for me. I wanna see some pics when you get it back!

Tony..........I feel ya man.........whatever you do, don't let the naysayers into your head.....I have a blast with my truck (yeah its a v8....but who cares....its paid for.....) I started taking it to car shows and cruise nights, and had a bunch of ppl ask why I was modding a heavy ass truck..... they all said why not get a stang or maro....... I tell em I am modding my truck for 2 reasons....1. I own it and its paid for... and 2, because I love a challenge.....if I wanted an easy build, I woulda got a maro..........but I didn't.....

I even had one asshat tell me to take this hunk o' junk dodge to the scrapper and buy a stang......I said, once I supercharge this "hunk o' junk " it will walk all over a stang........guess who was my forst stang kill? The asshat making fun of my truck.....hehehehehe I saw him like every week for a month at a show and I got done with the s/c and I said hey, wanna get beat by a 4500# truck tonight? Hehehehe........he lost big time........LOL probably helped that he rhought his mostly stock stang was fast as hell.....but a kill is a kill......hehehe

Oh...and if I had the funds, I woulda gone turbo, but the superchargwer stuf just about fell into my lap........got it all done for $508, and did all the work myself..........so, I didn't go turbo.....LOL

Awesome about the Turbo on V6!!! Some people are rude!

I just joined recently. I come on this forum for ideas, suggestions, tips, and support.

I just bought a 1989 Convertible with a V6. I am a college and 46 years old. I am a laid off math teacher, laid of mechanial engineer.

I am a gear head.

For of the owners that made rude committs about putting a Turbo on a V6. There are many 6 cylinders that go over 1000 hp (Porche, Supra, Lotus, etc) with a Turbo from a V6 to a straight 6. There are benefits of a V6 if built right that out wieghs a V8.

Now for the rude committs, that other people are making. EITHER they are BULLIES (always will be) or extremely jealous.

Either case, would they go up to someone in church and tell them "You out fit does not match, your shoes are out of style, you are just weird!"
They would from there committs.

I thought forums were for support, to help one another, not to insult and rip someone down? I belong to a motorcycle forum, that memebers bend over to help another.

I wish this forum was better. Sorry I got side tracked.
