My tie rod hits before I can acually lay out. How many here notche the frame for the tie rods and how much? Also my Dak lays out in an angle due to the crossmember. Has anyone thought (or done) about cutting the crossmember, welding a 2x3 square tube higher , and remounting the racknpinion higher?

i think u actually need a 3-4 inch notch in tha front for the rod.
Hmmm i might think about remounting my rack & Pinion higher but my exhaust and tranny oil pan will still hit....the pan rubs now but barely.....the new frame clip goes on next week. Let me see what allit would take an how hard it would be an if i can do it....and if so i'll take lots of pix an let ya guys know how ti goes....I'll do a tech article on it....the fuel cell, and the new frame clip, the cantilever 4link. and all the fun stuff next winter it'll be a b/d stock floor....and i'll write up some tech articles on reloacting the stuff under the hood.
I ended up using DJM 3" drop lower control arms, then slightly notching the frame for the tie rods, had to trim the passenger side upper arm to clear header too
Don't raise just the rack because it will throw off your suspension angles. You need to z the frame and raise the front suspension as a whole.

Take great care in doing this...if its not done properly your in for a world of headaches and frustration (mine sagged at first. but its taken care of now)

Exactly what should be taken into consideration? I will be doing that and a BD by Dec.
