Ok you guys know I have a QC. I just bought a radio with 3 preamp outputs. now if I am hooking up an amp and subwoofer do i need to also wire the factory speakers to the amp or not. I was thinking no cuz they should already be wired to the headunit itself. and also if i install a dvd player in the center console which wire would be best to connect to power supply wise. I was thinking just tap into the cig. outlet. and if i did would it have a constant power. i was thinking no because of the fact if you plug a cell phone charger in it doesnt run while the truck is off. I am trying to make sure i hook everything up right and not kill the batt.

ahh im crazy but i have a relay block under dash that runs a 4 gauge wire direct from bat and goes to aftermarket components due to factory harness tends to drop volts when played most of the way up ran into this problem on mustang and radio is so clear on big punches with the subs off but with the 2 12s i cant tell

I wired some cold cathodes under the dash of my truck and i wanted them to come on only when my truck was on so i wouldn't need a toggle switch. So I found the spare fuse slot and bought an adapter to wire it in. I ended up putting in a toggle switch tho after I got in trouble with cops for interior light while driving at night. Lawlz. Have fun.
